MBGN, 2018 [Silverbird]
The just concluded most beautiful girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant 2018,  at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State saw Miss Imo, Anita Ukah emerged as the 31st most beautiful girl in Nigeria. The glamorous organised by the Silverbird group, was hosted by Toke Makinwa and IK Osakioduwa.

The pageant was all entertainment as spectators were thrilled with beauty, fashion, dance, music, exotic culture and traditions.

Out of the 37 exotic beauties which contested for the coveted MBGN crown and a chance to represent Nigeria at the prestigious Miss World pageant, only one Miss Anita Ukah won the prestigious crown.

At the end of the pageant, Miss Anita Ukah beat 36 other contestants to be crowned the winner of MBGN 2018. As the beauty queen, she will be representing Nigeria at the Miss World 2018 contest which is scheduled for December 8 in Sanya, China.

First runner up, Miss Lagos, Aramide Oluwatobi Lopez will be representing Nigeria at Miss Universe pageant.

The second runner up was Miss Edo, Danielle Jatto will be representing Nigeria at the Miss tourism pageant.

The third runner up, Miss Sokoto, Valentina Ogbonnaya will be representing Nigeria at the Miss Ecowas pageantry.

Further more, Miss Ogun, Tolulope Mary Ayanfalu emerge as the fourth runner up and Miss Kwara, Damilola Adeshina emerge as the fifth runner up.

Still from the pageantry, Miss Benue emerge as Miss Photogenic, Miss Nasarawa as MGBN model, and Miss Rivers as Miss Amity. And the best traditional outfit was worn by Miss Edo while Miss Plateau won best evening wear.

It is no longer news that the Governor of Imo state have a reputation for building statue, and knowing that the present MBGN 2018 is from Imo state, there are those who believe that the governor might just build a statue of the beauty queen, Miss Anita Ukah at Owerri, the state capital. Perhaps, he might go a step further to appoint her as the commissioner for fashion and modeling.
